Meet Emily Raviola

Building on insights from 20-plus years in non-profit, higher education, and healthcare, Emily’s approach to career and executive coaching is characterized by her enthusiasm, empathy, and creative, strategic lens. Emily builds upon her client’s unique skills and aspirations and maps these to tangible career strategies and outcomes.

Based in Boston, Emily brings a background in higher education, program management, and business development. In her practice, she holds a particular focus on the healthcare and life sciences industries. Emily’s roles across the higher education and the non-profit spaces were grounded in various functional areas, including marketing, business development, strategy, financial and account management, and teaching and advising. Her work spanned these institutions:

In Emily's Own Words

I love seeing people’s potential and mapping out creative and exciting ways for them to advance their careers and networks. It’s like planting seeds and watching them grow into something wonderful. I get so much joy from helping people realize their strengths. It’s amazing to watch their paths unfold and see them thrive in ways they never thought possible. I regularly find my clients inspirational!

Meet Elizabeth Atcheson

Drawing on lessons learned from a 25-year marketing career and 20+ years of career coaching, Elizabeth approaches each client with a fresh perspective, believing there's no "one size fits all" in career guidance.

Elizabeth Atcheson founded Blue Bridge Career Coaching in 2010 in Seattle. Over the next 14 years, she guided hundreds of individual clients through job searches and career pivots, and developed and gave a variety of successful workshops, including:

  • Tools for Transition: Launch, Pivot, or Grow Your Career
  • Combatting Ageism in the Job Market
  • Level Up Your LinkedIn Profile
  • Propel Your Professional Growth

After moving to Portland, Oregon, in 2022, and with four young grandchildren pulling her attention, she initially reduced her hours, and quickly discovered that being a career coach is a full-time endeavor, requiring immediate availability to clients going through stressful job searches and interview processes. In May of 2024 she officially “paused” her career coaching practice and started exploring options to continue Blue Bridge Career Coaching. She had known Emily Raviola for 22 years; Emily had spent a year launching her own career coaching practice; and the cards all fell into place for Emily to carry on Blue Bridge Career Coaching with Elizabeth continuing in a much-reduced role as Advisor.

Prior to becoming a career coach, Elizabeth built a successful 25-year marketing career, first in San Francisco and later in Seattle. She held roles in marketing, marketing communications, marketing strategy, account management, and business development in a variety of enterprises including:

  • A large advertising agency (Saatchi & Saatchi)
  • A graduate school of business (Harvard Business School)
  • A national non-profit land conservation organization (Trust for Public Land)
  • A start-up non-profit organization providing unbiased information on the impacts of biotechnology on agriculture (Center for Science Information)
  • A marketing consulting firm in the natural foods industry (Snell Associates)
  • A software firm serving retail customers (Arena Software, Inc.)
  • A boutique market research firm focused on consumers and new media technologies (Odyssey, LP)

Elizabeth has served on the boards of the Rosenberg Ach Foundation, the Mary A. Crocker Trust, The Bush School, and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Alumni Association. She is an active Stanford volunteer.

In Elizabeth's Own Words

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been absorbed by people’s professional journeys. If I’m at a brunch or an event or whatever, and there’s someone there who is looking for a job or doesn’t like their job, that’s the person I want to talk to.

"Blue Bridge's facilitator Emily is extremely knowledgeable and deeply caring - although this was a group workshop, she took the time to learn about my needs and offer insights to my specific situation. I highly recommend this series to job seekers, career changers, and everyone who wants to stop wasting time fumbling around aimlessly on LinkedIn and create a strategic plan. It's worth every penny."
